Moseby’s Prolific Dent Corn is an heirloom open pollinated variety of corn, originally bred by J. K. Moseby of Lauderdale County, Mississippi in 1876. It became popular all throughout the South owing to its delicious flavor and good growing qualities.
It has a wonderful mild and buttery flavor. The cornmeal is finely ground, milled for southern-style cornbread.
We recommend using our products as soon as possible in order to enjoy the benefits of fresh flour, but if storing longer than 2 weeks, we recommend freezing or refrigerating for maximum shelf-life.
NOTE: All of our milled products are processed on the same equipment as wheat. While corn is a gluten-free grain, this product will contain trace amounts of wheat.
