NuEast Red Whole Wheat Flour

NuEast Red is a modern cultivar of winter wheat with a delicate, nutty flavor. This season’s crop gave us 9.4% protein, making it a soft flour, ideal for all baking applications, except bread (although it can be used for bread also, if treated gently, and with reduced fermentation time). This whole wheat flour contains all of the natural oils and fiber within the wheat kernel, making it more nutritious and delicious than average store-bought whole wheat flour. Besides being a healthy option, we like whole wheat flours for their wonderful flavor, which is more robust than in processed flours.

We recommend using our products as soon as possible in order to enjoy the benefits of fresh flour, but if storing longer than 2 weeks, we recommend freezing or refrigerating for maximum shelf-life.
